I have had fashion on the mind lately, and what it really makes me realize... is that I really LOVE muslin, it is so plain, but so beautiful, and I feel like I can never really have enough of it.
Right now I am working on a shift dress, and have made three muslin variations of it. I don't really know why, as I definitely only need one. I am thinking about painting them with acrylic paint when I am done, or maybe washing and dying them.
I guess muslin is so basic, and therefore, so very versatile. It starts out as a very crisp fabric, but after it is washed it can resemble crepe. I love the natural look of unbleached washed plain weave cotton muslin.
That is all. I love muslin. Love it, love it, love it.
