Whirlwinds, Derby and Dust Devils

Our Munecas travel season is in full swing! WE just returned from Denver where we got a brutal beating from Rocky Mountain Roller Girls on Saturday (though the announcer gave me "hit of the game" which was totally awesome), and then proceeded to pull of a win on Sunday against Pikes peak derby dames.




Adam and Autumn traveled with me, and I really enjoyed having their support and company. I spend so much time and energy missing my loves when I travel, so it was also fantastic not to be wallowing in self pity because I couldn't see my husband and baby. Yes, I am that in love with them. I miss them terribly when I go away. I don't care if it is lame or pathetic, that is the way it is.

After my vacation in Savannah and my games in Denver and Pikes Peak my head is definitely spinning, and my shops are both being a little neglected as I have tons of items to list and no time to really do it. I also need to finish up some paperwork for our first bout at the convention center and get up the courage to ask my dad to sponsor Duke City Derby.

My birthday is this upcoming Sunday and then we will be headed off to Tucson for a Derby Extravaganza called Dust Devil where we will play 3 sanctioned bouts in two days. Awesome.

Then I may need some sleep. Seriously.

Hi, From Savannah

Hi everyone, I am really enjoying Savannah so far, it is beautiful and I love the warm weather! My mom is a teacher and her spring break starts Monday so after tomorrow I will get to spend a lot of time with her! Autumn is enjoying her grandparents, her uncle Alex, and the household pet Sammy the dog. We went for a good walk today and in the evening I went to practice with the Savannah Roller Devils but there was some confusion about the time or location or something so it never happened.

I am sorry I am not able to read all of my favorite blogs everyday this week but, but my Internet time is limited.

I am hoping my brother and I can bike up to Tybee Island and go to the beach while I am here, because that sounds awesome, and my mom can meet us at the beach with Autumn. What a fun day!

I hope anyone who is on their spring break is having a great time, and I will make sure to get back to my reading list as soon as I get home!

HI, From Michigan

Hello, today is our last day in Michigan!
I have to admit, I can not wait to go home.

It seems like we have been very busy, though I am having a hard time really pin pointing anything we have done...

We went to the local botanical gardens, which is run by the University of Michigan, and is small but very beautiful.

Adam and I spent one afternoon walking around in down town Anne Arbor, which we enjoyed in spite of the frigid temperatures.

We went to the mall with Adam's mom to return an item, and spent a little time walking around the mall. Victoria's Secret is having their semi- annual sale, so I indulged in some items for myself, some new underwear and some heavenly lotion and perfume as well as a few make-up items.

For me the highlight has surely been visiting the riverside skating arena, which is the nicest skating rink I have had the opportunity to skate in. The Oaks park rink in Portland is also very nice, but the staff does not let you skate even remotely fast, and that is annoying. Adam's parents were nice enough to babysit that night so we got to skate together which is rare. We had a great time and even ran into a few Detroit roller girls and some of their newbies. I probably should have tried to attend one of their practices since I brought all of my gear but it felt like our stay flew by.

Then of course we have spent a lot of time with Adam's family.
